About MIAG
An education business that builds technology
We exist to make excellent teaching scalable and affordable — for the learners that mainstream provision too often leaves behind.
“Not all classrooms have four walls”
What we believe
Teaching quality should not depend on postcode, budget or timetable
A brilliant teacher changes outcomes. But brilliant teaching is scarce, expensive and hard to timetable — especially for learners in intervention, ESOL classes or NEET programmes.
So we capture it once, properly, and deliver it everywhere. Our Education Manager designs every lesson to a strict I Do, We Do, You Do model; AI avatar tutors then present that lesson on video to each learner, and the platform records exactly how they get on.
Teacher-designed, non-negotiable standards
Every unit follows the same lesson shape a good classroom teacher would use: model the skill, practise it together, then let the learner show what they can do. Marking is always a green tick or another go — never a red cross.
Delivered by AI avatar tutors
Thousands of avatar-taught video lessons are already streaming on the platform. Learners get a consistent, patient tutor; organisations get a cost per learner that one-to-one tuition cannot approach.
Evidence on every learner
Progress is tracked per activity. Teachers see who needs help today; schools and councils get management information that stands up to scrutiny.
Where we are today
A serious curriculum, built in the open
Our focus areas are the National Curriculum, ESOL, NEET provision and financial literacy. Every course publishes an honest build status — live, in build or planned.
The team
Educators and specialists, not just technologists
Julian Alsop
Education Expert
Extensive experience in education leadership with a deep understanding of how learners who struggle in mainstream settings can be supported to succeed. Julian shapes the strategy and standards behind every MIAG programme.
Zoe Manley
Lead Educator
A gifted teacher with a particular talent for connecting with learners who have been let down before. Zoe keeps the platform grounded in what actually works in a classroom.
Barnaby Bamford
Financial Education Specialist
A qualified financial adviser who treats financial education as preparation for real life. Barnaby ensures our money content is practical, current and genuinely useful for independent living.
Beyond the screen
Digital-first, with face-to-face support where it counts
Alongside the platform, we have learning centres ready to go across the region, led by experienced tutors. Learners who need in-person support get it — with the same curriculum and the same progress record connecting both.
